Praise God Through Dancing

“Let them praise his name in dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.” 

– PSALMS 149:3

As part of the celebration of the Christian Living week month last week of January 2013 at La Verdad Christian College Caloocan, the students prepared intermission numbers. They prepared dance numbers which are praised dance using different songs of praises to glorify the Almighty Name of our Creator. Like what is written in the bible, one way to please God is through dancing.

Wearing mask showing happy face and sad face, black t-shirts, and black pants, the MCT-12 got the grand prize. They interpret the praise and medley song entitled ASOP Production 2005. They were synchronized and they gave justice at that praise song. 

Using green flags and yellow hand fans, the MCT-13 got the 1^st place. They interpret the ethnic song entitled Medley 4. This ethnic song is about giving thanks to our Lord God.

Using green flags and colorful ribbons, the MCT-11 got the 2^nd place. They interpret the majestic and medley song entitled Oh Nation of God, Lord I Give Thanks Medley. At first, when you hear this song, you will presume that this song is solemn but aside from the solemn part, it has also its fast beat.

 All section from first year to second year such as MCT-11, MCT-12, MCT-13, HCS-11, MCT-21, MCT-22, and last but not the least  the HCS-21 prepared praise dance to give thanks our Lord God. Thanks be to God for this successful event. To God be the glory

Getting Straight with Mr. Zandro

I interview Sir. Nozandro Zaragosa because I am interested on those people who are so busy but yet they can still do those works at the same time properly and in order. I like them because I can have some advice on how to make it also.

Our conversation begins with a question on how he can still do his another task while teaching here at La Verdad. He said, “ it’s just like an athlete. Halimbawa ay yung mga swimmer. Yung mga swimmer bago yan lumusong, inanu na yan ng adrenaline rush nila.. Kapag sa tungkulin naman, mayroon tayong dapat panghugutan para makapagpatuloy pero syempre above all these things, andyan yung Dios.”

Another question I asked is can he give advice for those students who are studying here at La Verdad with their and at the same time, they have their duties in the chuch. He said, “ Para sa mga kabataan, unahin nyo syempre yung tungkulin nyo. Mas mahalaga pa rin yung tungkulin. Kumbaga yung pag-aaral extra load yan na pinagkatiwala sa inyo ng Dios.”

It is nice to talk with person wherein you can get lessons. 

Dear Kuya

A new segment of Radio La Verdad was introduced last January 2013, the Dear Kuya. This new segment hosted by Mr. Public Service, Kuya Daniel Razon, is about the story of those people who wants to share their life and even their problems about families, friend, relationships, etc and after sharing these stories, Kuya Daniel and Bro. Eli Soriano will give advice to those people to solve their problems. It was an honored that the one who will advice you is the two sensible preacher of our times.

The first time I heard this, Dear Kuya, I was so amazed because Kuya Daniel and Bro. Eli Soriano are the one who will give advice on live. Another one is that the cast in the story telling or the people behind the voice of those characters are students from La Verdad Christian College.

This song is an optimistic song telling the listeners to do the best of they can because life is short. There is no second chance when it comes to life. All I can say is wow! What a song. Hey check this out. 

A Prince Someday

 In the 26th day of October, year 1994, there is a baby prince named Edward who was given by Queen Melody and King Rey. His parents were very proud to when they saw their first baby. They describe their son as a smart boy, energetic, handsome, cute, and angelic face. His parents were always at the side of their baby son to take care of him. Since Prince Edward is their first son, they always give what Edward needs like milk, oats, and most of all, their love.

And now, in his 18 years of existence in this world, Edward is now big, tall, dark, and handsome. He is now studying at La Verdad Christian College Caloocan. He is taking there Mass Communication Technology. because he wants someday to be a nice speaker of truth and to report what is happening in the society.

Did you know that Edward loves teddy bear? Since Edward was a child, he already loves to play teddy bear. Maybe it is because of the influence of his mother who also loves teddy bear. Queen Melody also loves teddy bear. She has lots of teddy bear in her room. Prince Edward also loves to dance. According to him, dance is his passion. Every time he dance, all worries that he has are easily gone. He always felt a sudden feeling that makes him happy.

By the way, I named this blog as Smile Makes Me Happy because one thing that can ease one's person's problem is to smile. Even though there are hardships, he still do his best to smile not only for himself but also for others. There are people who can still laugh even though there they already want to cry. There are some who used to joke just to cover up what their sad feelings. There are people who are trying their best to feel better even though they want to give up but they believe that despite if these problems and hardships that they encounter, they believe that there is God who guide us and to give us strength to face the trials in our life.
